about me
For as long as I can remember I dreamed about working within the birthing world - but it took me 20 years to actually make it reality!
Originally from Sweden via a stint in France, I’ve been calling London home for the past decade; living in East London with my partner, our two children and our furry friend Margaret.
I’ve always been passionate about birth and matrescence, and even though life took me onto other journeys, working within the birthing world always remained a dream in the back of my mind - but it wasn’t until I had my second child I felt I could finally explore making it a reality.
My own experiences with two very different births inspired me wanting to support others through their unique journeys, especially those seeking VBAC, homebirth, and for those healing from trauma.
I believe that our experience of birth can change who we are, and that a positive experience where we feel respected and heard can make an enormous impact, not only our postnatal period, but on our whole life together with our baby.
Accessible birth care and human rights are deeply important to me, and I believe everyone has the right to receive the same standard of care, regardless of who or where they are. I work in a person centred way, and I am a defender of birth rights and informed choice.
I welcome women and birthing people of every race, ethnicity and religion, the LGBTQ+ community, and those from marginalised groups.
The transition into parenthood is not linear, and will be different for each one of us. I aim to fully support each person in achieving the birth they truly want and to advocate for their wishes and wants, no matter what twists and turns the journey provides us with.
“From the moment I connected with Fanny, I knew I had found someone special. She made me feel safe, supported, and completely validated every step of the way. Her calm, grounded energy helped me trust my body and my choices — I’ve never felt more heard or seen. Fanny’s presence, wisdom, and compassion transformed my birth experience. I cannot recommend her enough”
